Community Gardens

If you want to grow your own healthy food, the City of Marshall and Marshall Municipal Utilities offer 60 garden plots for rent to Marshall residents near the Marshall Water Plant (south side of Marshall, near Southwest Coaches, Inc.).

The plots will be tilled by the City at the beginning of the gardening season with renters agreeing to plant, weed, cultivate and remove all plants and other materials by mid-October.

The cost is $35 per plot and participants must sign a maintenance contract. Water is available on-site.  Returning gardeners are able to secure their same plot yearly if they register in February.  The remaining plots will be rented on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please call Community Services at 537-6767 with any questions or to register.
